Leaving Ushuaia we cross the Antarctic Convergence and journey into the Southern Ocean via the fabled Drake Passage to explore the abundant wildlife and vast expanses of the Antarctic Peninsula. This voyage provides the opportunity to explore a pocket of the Peninsula with varied active means, including kayaking, snowshoeing, climbing and zodiac cruising. Our vessel will become our floating basecamp, a warm and comfortable haven to return to after adventuring ashore. There is no shortage of photographic possibilities and our workshops will help you to reflect the natural beauty of this ice-bound land to best effect. Whether enjoying the surreal landscapes or participating in one of the activities on offer the wonder of the Antarctic is yours to discover. Ever popular is the option to camp on the ice, an experience which will create memories to last a lifetime. Those who prefer a more relaxed journey can utilise the ship’s fleet of zodiacs to explore the rich diversity of wildlife that flourishes in the sheltered bays, clustered castles of icebergs and steep glaciers that characterise the shoreline.
