Everest High Passes

...we shouldn't finish without mentioning admiration for the endlessly busy Mr Lama. He like all World Expeditions staff we met, was very charming and knowledgable, this characteristic seems to be a requirement for employment with the company

Annapurna, Nar & Tilicho Lake

A spectacular trek in the Annapurna region, with two remote passes, a high altitude lake and inspiring views of some of the world's highest mountains. We ascend through the lower portion of the Annapurna region before turning into a secluded and rugged valley towards the villages of Nar and Phu. Isolated from the rest of Nepal, with their own distinct dialect, the outside world knows little of the people of this remarkable region. Well off the beaten path, we are rewarded with magnificent campsites, secluded villages and an awesome backdrop of peaks. After crossing the Kang La we enter the heart of the Annapurnas, camping alongside Tilicho Lake before crossing Mesokanto La on our way to Jomsom. Rugged, adventurous and remote, this is Himalayan trekking at its finest.
