Kilimanjaro - Rongai Route

Excellent trip. To give yourself the best chance of making the summit, this is the route to take.

Sri Lanka Adventure

Sri Lanka is ideally suited to adventure touring. A land of misty highlands and tea plantations, dense jungles and National Parks that are perfect for trekking and day walks. We also appreciate the multitude of handicrafts, Buddhist monuments and colonial heritage that forms the country's rich cultural history. Our journey leads deep into the rainforest of central Sri Lanka where monks conduct prayers in harmony with the forest before continuing to the ancient Buddhist capital of Anuradhapura and the world heritage site of Polonnaruwa. We wander the renowned tea plantations and botanical gardens of Kandy before an ascent of the famous pilgrimage site, Adam's Peak, a hike through the tea plantations and lush forests near Ella, and a wildlife safari in the elephant prolific Uda Walawe National Park. Our introductory canoeing trip down the Kalu Ganga is a fitting highlight to our journey. No prior experience is necessary just a willingness to go with the flow and savour the village life and nature that abound along the rivers edge.

traveller reviews

We have just returned from our Sri Lanka Adventure trip that completed on September 23, 2013. We wanted to let you how the trip went and our feelings about Siri (sp?), our local guide and driver. Siri was the best guide we could ask for. He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his country and he went out of his way to show us some fantastic sites and tastes. Our trip would not have been what it was without him. Based on our experience in Sri Lanka we would not hesitate in recommending both World Expeditions to anyone. If Siri is an example of the quality of the local guides used by World Expeditions, we will be looking here first for our next trip. Thank you all for a wonderful trip in a beautiful part of the world. We cannot say enough good things about Sri Lanka in general and Siri in particular.
