Cradle Mountain and the Walls of Jerusalem
There is simply no better way to become acquainted with the majesty of the Tasmanian highlands than on this series of spectacular walks. Your guides are passionate about this trip and eager to share the World Heritage wilderness with you. The trip begins with a scenic drive from Launceston to Cradle Mountain, where you will settle into your cabin accommodation, nestled in the forest on the edge of Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair National Park. From this base you will undertake a variety of day walks which will allow you to discover the surrounding alpine plateaus, dramatic glacially carved lakes and, given the opportunity, a chance to summit Cradle Mountain for sensational views of the surrounding peaks. On day three a vehicle transfer will take you to the upper Mersey Valley & towards the remote Walls of Jerusalem National Park, which is only accessible by foot. Here, you'll don full backpacks and trek into your base camp beneath the towering King David's Peak, gateway into "the Walls". Your time here will involve full days of exploration in and around the magical tarns and peaks forming the Walls of Jerusalem, returning to our base camp each evening

Liz and I had a fantastic trip. The weather was perfect, scenery great, but of most importance I need to reinforce what a great bunch of guys Kim and Mick are. As guides they were very knowledgeable and looked after each person on the trip respecting their different needs and wants. I cannot sing their praises high enough.
