AROUND IJSSEL LAKE

We loved the trip and everything about it. We especially found the guide to be very interesting, informative and nice to be around. He had an incredible knowledge about everything as he talked.

Brussels to Amsterdam Cycle

Combine the attractive landscapes of Belgium and the Netherlands on this fascinating journey through rural vistas and quaint villages, sampling the local cuisine and beverages enroute. Beginning in either Mechelen or Amsterdam (the journey operates in reverse every other trip), you will experience the Flemish port town of Antwerp, before continuing over the border to the well preserved fortified town of Willemstad. On the way, you can wander through the markets in Brussels, sample famous Belgian waffles, or try a glass of the massive variety of excellent beers. In Holland the old town of Hertogenbosch and the St. Jans Cathedral is certainly worth a visit. Across the country's fruit garden, the Betuwe, and along the Vecht and Amstel rivers the cycle and barge journey continues to Amsterdam, with time on the last day to explore the Dutch capital.
