Mont Blanc Ascent

Firstly may I just say I absolutely loved the Mont Blanc trip, and when talking to the other climbers who had gone with other agencies, our trip had the best mix of mountain huts, walks and training, so thank you, it really was superb.

Queyras Circuit

Nestled against the Italian border, the Queyras Regional Natural Park is considered one of the most beautiful in France. The area is characterised by its unspoilt hamlets where the traditional culture has been retained. For the keen walker the opportunities to view stunning mountains over 3000m and traverse high ridges and pastures brimming with alpine blooms are endless. Couple this with welcoming gîtes and refuges and a chance to sample the wholesome local cuisine and you have the ingredients for an exceptional alpine experience. With your luggage transferred by vehicle daily, you are free to walk at your own pace to explore and absorb a fascinating pocket of the French Alps.

Brief Itinerary

DAY 1 Meet at Ville Vieille in the Queyras Regional Natural Park and walk to Montbardon (6hrs)
DAY 2 Walk to Ceillac (6hrs)
DAY 3 Cross the Col des Estronques (2651m) en route to St-Véran (6hrs)
DAY 4 Walk via the Chapelle Ste-Elisabeth to Refuge Agnel (5hrs)
DAY 5 Cross the Col Vieux with a view to Mont Blanc (5 hrs)
DAY 6 Walk to Les Fonts (7hrs)
DAY 7 Return to Ville-Vieille, trip concludes (5hrs)
