Great Wall Trek

I so appreciated to spend those days close to the Wall and not just to “fly in” for one day. This enables me to get a bit of a “feel” for the country. To be with the Chinese crew also was a privilege I won’t forget. Our tour guide gave us valuable insights. I am thankful that I could be part of this challenge, it was worth it.

Yunnan Cycle and Tiger Leaping Gorge

Yunnan, home to many minorities, is arguably one of China's most breathtaking and fascinating regions. To enable you to get up close to its colourful ethnic minorities and stunning natural environment, we have designed an adventure like no other. From the provincial capital of Kunming we fly to the World Heritage town of Lijiang to explore surrounding villages and Lashi Lake. Home to the colourful Naxi people, we'll learn about their ancient culture before cycling back-roads across the snow-capped peaks of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to the incredible Tiger leaping Gorge. We swap the bikes for travel by foot, visiting small Naxi villages as we hike through Tiger Leaping Gorge staying in small local guesthouses along the trail. Back on the bikes we'll visit ancient temples and frescoes in Shaxi, soak in hot springs in Eryuan before cycling around Er Hai Lake to the Bai minority capital, Dali. With time to explore the old town and surrounding villages, we head back to Kunming for the end of the tour.
