Mount Cook Aoraki Ascent

As for the Mt Cook trip, it was absolutely brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the 10 day course taught me a lot! I'm already thinking of what I would like to climb next.... Possibly something in the Himalayas. Just need to keep up the fitness (and save up a lot of money!!).

Milford and Stewart Island Trails

This classic New Zealand walking tour takes in the very best of the southern regions of the South Island.Your tour begins in the 'adventure capital' of Queenstown from where we travel to Te Anau and a walk on the lower reaches of the well known Kepler Track, one of New Zealand's "Great Walks". We overnight at a remote wilderness lodge before continuing onto Milford Sound in time to beat the crowds. We cruise the Sound beneath the imposing walls of Mitre Peak, followed by a walk to take in the magnificent views at Key Summit, on another "Great Walk" - the Routeburn Track. We travel further south to the wildlife sanctuary of Stewart Island, where life is quieter even still. Here you can enjoy some free time to explore this remote island and there is the potential for sightings of New Zealand's flightless bird - the Kiwi - in its natural habitat. You will then return to the mainland to explore the native forests and dramatic seascapes of the windswept Catlins Coast on foot. Returning to Queenstown, we travel through the rolling hills of Central Otago, an area steeped in gold-mining history, which will provide a wonderful contrast to the previous day walks. The tour finale allows you to summit a mountain, for the best views of the region revealing an extensive panorama. You'll take a gondola ride high above Queenstown & trek to the peak of Ben Lomond, a fitting climax to a week of exceptional hiking.
