Mount Cook Aoraki Ascent

As for the Mt Cook trip, it was absolutely brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the 10 day course taught me a lot! I'm already thinking of what I would like to climb next.... Possibly something in the Himalayas. Just need to keep up the fitness (and save up a lot of money!!).

Ice Climbing Course

Climbing steep to vertical ice is a skill. This specialised ice climbing course has been designed to help you develop lead climbing skills at a top level ice climbing venue near Queenstown. Situated in a unique base camp set up in the Wye Creek Valley, the five day course offers expert tuition from New Zealand's leading NZMGA qualified guides and will tackle steep ice weeps and free standing pillars - challenging enough for even the strongest ice climber - in an amazing setting. The course begins with a helicopter flight (weather permitting) into your expedition base camp at Wye Creek, which ensures you are right at the ice when you wake up each morning. In fact, we estimate that by staying so close to the climbs you'll add an extra three hours to your ice climbing time each day. The tent at your camp is large enough to fit all the participants at once and serves as an all weather venue for cooking and theory sessions. If you are serious about developing your climbing skills then this course is an absolute must.
