Everest High Passes

...we shouldn't finish without mentioning admiration for the endlessly busy Mr Lama. He like all World Expeditions staff we met, was very charming and knowledgable, this characteristic seems to be a requirement for employment with the company

Everest Circuit & the Cho La

Combining our classic Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes treks with a stunning crossing of the non-technical Cho La pass provides an unsurpassed circuit trek of the Everest region. We make climbs of the popular Gokyo Ri and Kala Pattar along the way, which provide magnificent photo opportunities of the world's highest mountain, Mount Everest, and views as far as Kanchenjunga in the east and the Tibetan 8000m peak Cho Oyu to the north. We will also view Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, Cholatse, the beautiful pyramid of Ama Dablam, as well as countless other Himalayan peaks. There is also time to visit the famous Base Camp, and during the months of March, April & May, the many expedition camps. Each night you will be accommodated in our private eco campsites as well as handpicked eco lodges. traveller reviews

This was an extraordinary trek, expertly lead by Bir Singh and a great crew of Padam (sirdar), Chiran (front guide) and Dhan (cook/guide). Our safety and wellbeing were foremost in their minds, as well as the wish to help us achieve our goals. I was very grateful for their help and support. They also had a wonderful sense of humour, as did my trek mates, and we all had a lot of fun together. Bir Singh’s daily talks about what to expect the following day were invaluable. He looked after our ailments and patched up our scrapes. The food was fantastic, such a variety of dishes. There was always something for everyone. This is not a trek for the fainthearted. The Cho La Pass crossing was quite gruelling, but with the help of our guides we all made it with a great sense of achievement. Thank you also to the very hard working kitchen staff and porters.
