Walking in the Dordogne
A region full of elegant stone houses and medieval castles, the Dordogne boasts stunning scenery with a combination of villages, forests and farmland. Focused around the Dordogne River Valley, this itinerary has plenty of scope to absorb the history and culture of the Perigord. With marvellous food and colourful markets (particularly Sarlat) you will discover the specialities of the region including mushrooms, walnuts, chestnuts, truffles and strawberries. The Benedictine Abbey in Souillac and the delightful villages of Beynac and Domme are fine examples of period architecture that really add to the flavour of the the region.

|DAY 4||Walk to Beynac, known as 'the most beautiful village in France' (5hrs)|
|DAY 5||Walk from Beynac through the heart of the Dordogne Valley to Domme (4hrs)|
|DAY 6||Walk to Carsac (4-5hrs)|
|DAY 7||Walk along the riverside to Souillac (5-6hrs)|

Fantastic week hiking in some of the most beautiful countryside France has to offer! Wonderful accommodations and food, our tour coordinator was very kind and accommodating. We walked during the last week in October where the trees were colorful and the weather perfect, almost magical!
