Larapinta Trek

We had a wonderful time on our recent 8 day Larapinta Trek. The trip was made all the more enjoyable by the assistance of our guides Adrian and Craig. Their flexibility, steady temperaments, knowledge, friendship, experience, sense of humor and ability in the kitchen took all the difficulties out of our experience. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything that should have happened happened, and happened when it should have. They made the whole experience for us a simple walk in the bush. We could not reccommend them more highly.

Cradle Mountain Short Escape

The iconic Cradle Mountain National Park is yours to share with your family on this short & exciting walking holiday. Carrying just a day pack, explore the base of the Great Western Tiers on foot before a visit to the fascinating caves of the Mole Creek Karst National Park. It's then on to the Cradle Mountain National Park high country where you'll have a number of impressive walks to choose from, you can even tackle the summit of Cradle Mountain (weather permitting). Sharing the 360-degree panoramic views of Tasmania's highest mountains and surrounding wilderness area from its summit with your children will inspire them to want to explore even more. Nearby in the Forth Valley, you can all climb to the summit of Mt Roland, from where you'll be greeted with 360 degree views of Bass Strait, Cradle Mountain and the prominent Barn Bluff. This is a fantastic introduction to active travel for the whole family.

traveller reviews

It was a great trip and we had a wonderful guide from Tasmanian Expeditions. Thanks to Tommo we had healthy lunches prepared for us to be packed for our hikes and hot meals cooked for us at night. The walk around Dove Lake, the laborious climb to the summit of Cradle Mountain with 360 degree views, the visit to the Devils' Sanctuary and the King Billy Walk where we saw an ancient King Billy tree (more than 1500 years old) were all eye-opening experiences.
