Everest High Passes

...we shouldn't finish without mentioning admiration for the endlessly busy Mr Lama. He like all World Expeditions staff we met, was very charming and knowledgable, this characteristic seems to be a requirement for employment with the company

Trek Annapurna and Everest

There are few places on earth that offer such stunning mountain vistas and incredible trekking. This carefully designed itinerary offers the first time trekker a wonderful introduction to Nepal's highest and finest mountain ranges - Annapurna and Everest. We commence with the delights of the Kathmandu Valley and the largest concentration of UNESCO sites in any one city of the world, before our spectacular mountain flight whisks us off to Pokhara. We walk through the Annapurna foothills and rhododendron forests, and experience picturesque villages on the way to our high point - the world famous Poon Hill. At 3190m, the outstanding views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri are incredible. Our next trekking adventure takes us to the Khumbu region, home to Mount Everest. Now well acclimatised from our Annapurna trek, we ascend the Dudh Kosi Valley to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar, spend a day at Syangboche with its fine views of Everest, and explore the picturesque villages of Khumjung and Khunde. traveller reviews

It was truly a fantastic holiday. The sights and scenery we saw were amazing. It was very hard going – much harder than I thought it was going to be. So all my training well and truly paid off. Everything during the trip ran like clock work. Our guide was gorgeous and very encouraging. The support staff were wonderful. The sleeping bags were very warm. The food was amazing. I don’t know how they cook such great meals. The Nepalese are such lovely people. Namche Bazaar now has a wonderful permanent camp site. The accommodation in Lukla was an eco lodge, very nice too with an en-suite bathroom and a hot shower as well. Such luxury. Mr Lakpah is a wonderful man – so cheerful and helpful and efficient. So, all in all it was a wonderful holiday.
