Great Wall Trek

I so appreciated to spend those days close to the Wall and not just to “fly in” for one day. This enables me to get a bit of a “feel” for the country. To be with the Chinese crew also was a privilege I won’t forget. Our tour guide gave us valuable insights. I am thankful that I could be part of this challenge, it was worth it.

Xian, Warriors and Mountains

The traditional starting point of the ancient Silk Route, Xian with its pagodas, mosques and ancient city walls is a treasure trove of sites waiting to be explored. Of course the highlight for any visitor to Xian is the extraordinary sight of the hundred's of terracotta warriors arising from their muddy grave, some intact, others still submerged in the earth. Travelling to Mt Huashan one of China's five sacred mountains. We will have time to explore this mountain and visit some of the Taoist temples where past emperors made pilgrimages.

Brief Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrive Xian, explore the ancient city
DAY 2 Terracotta Warriors, travel to Huashan
