Great Wall Trek

I so appreciated to spend those days close to the Wall and not just to “fly in” for one day. This enables me to get a bit of a “feel” for the country. To be with the Chinese crew also was a privilege I won’t forget. Our tour guide gave us valuable insights. I am thankful that I could be part of this challenge, it was worth it.

Trans Siberian Explorer

The Trans Siberian train journey has captured the imagination of travellers for decades. This superb itinerary combines the classic route from Beijing, with stopovers at many of the unique and exciting destinations enroute to Moscow. We begin in Beijing, where there is ample time to witness the iconic attractions of this great city, before continuing through the countryside and Gobi desert to the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar. We leave the train and visit the vast Mongolian Steppe providing us with a taste of nomadic life as we stay in comfortable ger camps, travel across the vast grasslands, and sample the warm hospitality of the local people. The next stage of our journey enters the heart of Siberia at Lake Baikal, the world's deepest and largest freshwater lake. Finally, we head to the city of Moscow, to soak up the vast history through visits to Red Square and the Kremlin, and then to beautiful St Petersburg to wander through the immense Hermitage.
