Mount Cook Aoraki Ascent

As for the Mt Cook trip, it was absolutely brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the 10 day course taught me a lot! I'm already thinking of what I would like to climb next.... Possibly something in the Himalayas. Just need to keep up the fitness (and save up a lot of money!!).

Hump Ridge Track

The Tuatapere Hump Ridge Track offers a comfortable wilderness walking experience for those short on time. Located in the south-west corner of New Zealand's South Island the track runs through 55km of pristine and unspoiled wilderness. In the company of experienced guides you'll walk through a diverse range of World Heritage landscapes from sub-alpine wilderness to sea-level views including coastal terraces in the Waitutu Forest, described as "probably the most important forest in the world" by Dr David Bellamy. You'll also afford views of Lake Poteriteri, Lake Hauroko and mountain ranges found deep in Fiordland National Park. Carrying only daypacks, helicopters will transfer your luggage ahead each day and also provide you with a spectacular transfer across Te Waewae bay providing an opportunity to spot the rare Hectors dolphins.
