Kilimanjaro Shira Route

Just got back from Mt. Kilimanjaro with my son (we both made it to the peak) and the experience exceeded my expectations in every regard. It was better that I had hoped for and I want to thank you very much for all the assistance, hand holding, and help before the trip. I had never done anything like this, but I can't wait to try it again.

Masai Mara Balloon Safari

The Masai Mara is a wildlife wonderland, home to a vast array of species including the 'big five' (lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros and buffalo), wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, impalas and giraffe. The landscape is expansive, with plains stretching to the horizon, making it the ultimate ballooning destination. Our sunrise excursion allows us to enjoy a bird's eye view of the spectacle of life below our basket as it unfolds. If visiting the Mara between July and October, there is a possibility of seeing the “Great Migration” of over a million wildebeest, gazelles, elands and zebras as they migrate north from the Serengeti in search of pasture before returning to the South. Observing this phenomenon from the balloon is the best way to grasp just how huge the migrating herds really are and is an experience not to be missed. Of course no balloon journey is complete without a celebratory champagne breakfast, best enjoyed on the vast savannah plains of the Mara.

Brief Itinerary

DAY 1 Early pickup from your Masai Mara lodge, transfer to the launch site. Balloon flight for approximately one hour with an experienced pilot. Breakfast on plains then return to lodge.
