Mt Kilimanjaro Trek

The walk up Kilimanjaro was absolutely amazing – a real personal challenge. I was fortunate enough to make it to the top and I have to say, the view from the top has to be the best view I have ever experienced. From Kili the safari was really stunning.

From street food and egg hoppers to tea inspired dinners at some of Sri Lanka's finest dining establishments, Peter will take you behind the scenes to meet the people and discover the spices that make up Sri Lanka's melting pot and which first ignited his passion for food. From the palm fringed west coast, we travel to the ancient capital Anuradhapura to visit its world heritage listed ruin sites. We continue to the rock fortress of Sigiriya before heading to the hill town of Kandy with its splendid botanical gardens and lush tea plantations. We spend two nights in the luxurious Lighthouse Hotel in Galle designed by the late Geoffrey Bawa and in the Uda Walawe National Park we enjoy a little luxury on the edge of the national park. Along the way we will try our hand at making egg hoppers and kottu roti as well as cooking our curry lunch in clay pots over an open fire. These are but a few of the incredible food experiences you will have on this truly inspired journey. This is a food safari like no other. We hope you can join us!
