We had an absolutely fantastic time. The countryside in Bhutan is so pristine and we really enjoyed the remoteness. It certainly was physically challenging and it was a credit to the two leaders that all 10 clients completed it safely.
Types of Adventures
Our adventure travel holidays are rated not just in terms of the destinations we visit but also by the type of journey and activity we offer. To ensure you select your ideal adventure holiday please review this section of our website, where we define all of the activities we offer as well as our grading system. If you have any further questions send us an email or give us a call.

These adventures are designed for families yearning more than the ‘typical family holiday’ and are manicured with the younger traveller in mind . The minimum age is generally 10-12 years. The pace of these is slower, with more time to relax. However the emphasis is still very much about undertaking physical activity, whether it be trekking, cycling or exploring.
If you have children under 10 and are still yearning for a family holiday adventure, many of our tours can be undertaken as a private group. Minimum numbers can vary between 2 and 10, so ring or email the office closest to you to arrange your family holiday adventure.
Our Utracks Europe Family Holidays are designed to suit families with children as young as 2. On many of our self guided cycling trips we arrange bike trailers which accommodate up to 2 children to a maximum of 40-60kgs (depending on specifications), and trail-a-bikes for 4-9 year olds. Our self guided walks are suitable for active children from 8 years old, while our guided Mont Blanc Family Adventure is for children from 7 years. Discounts are usually available for children under 12 years when sharing a room with two adults.
